Bengaluru: Under fire for failing to control the spread of the COVID-19 in the city, the state government has shunted out the BBMP commissioner BH Anil Kumar. Old warhorse, N Manjunath Prasad, who has earlier served BBMP as the commissioner has been brought back to his post. Anil Kumar is been transferred as the additional chief secretary to the Department of Public Enterprises.

Manjunath Prasad will also continue in his earlier position in the revenue department. He is the blue-eyed boy of Congress veteran Mallikharjun Kharge. However, off-late he is associated with revenue minister R Ashok who is now leading the state government’s charge in the city.

Also, V Rashmi Mahesh has been transferred as the secretary to the Kannada and Culture department.
