Excess fare: Case registered against 15 buses in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The transport department authorities registered cases against 15 buses for collecting excess fare from the passengers who were on their way from the city to their native places to cast votes on April 18.

According to the transport department authorities, the buses were stopped in four exit points of the city including Gorugontepalya, KR Pura, Silk Board Junction and Devanahalli. Officers inquired with the passengers travelling about the fare collected by the bus companies.

Cases were registered against those companies which were collecting excess fare from the passengers after recording the statements of the passengers.

It can be recalled that since last few days it was alleged that a few bus companies are charging extra from the passengers who were travelling from the city to their native places to cast vote on April 18.
