Bengaluru: The state government will take a final decision on holding the examination for the children between Class I and IX today.
Education minister S Suresh Kumar convened a meeting of senior officials in this regard. After a deliberation, the department will submit a proposal to the state government in this regard.
Following a sudden surge in the Covid 19 cases due to second wave, pressure is growing on the state government to conclude the academic year at the earliest and announce holiday for the children.
However, academicians fear that this will affect the learning levels of the students who are out of school since March 2020.
