Bengaluru: Despite BMTC and KSRTC making elaborate arrangements for the travel of those who enjoy the new year arrival with liquor, there is no end to the menace of drunk and drive.
On Tuesday night the city police seized as many as 426 vehicles under the charges of drunk and drive.
These include 254 vehicles in Bengaluru west, 99 in Bengaluru East and 73 in Bengaluru north.
Police seized all the vehicles under the new traffic rules. Now the vehicle owners need to go to the courts to get back their seized vehicles. Most of the seized vehicles are two-wheelers.
