Don’t use COVID-19 as platform for publicity: HDK tells state govt

Bengaluru: Former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy has said that the government should not use the corona virus episode as a vehicle for publicity.

The former CM took to twitter and said that it is evident that there are two factions that are disseminating information about the steps taken to tackle the pandemic in the state.

“Minister for Health and Minister fo Medical Education are holding separate press meets to talk about the same issue. They must work in tandem with each other. The episode should not be used for puublcity. People may be getting confused due to what is going on,” he said.

In another tweet, he said that providing separate place for treating the positive cases is the only solution.

“The government is claiming to have made separate facilities for the same.There are several building across the state that have been deserted or abandoned. Such places can be used to provide treatment for Coronavirus positive cases,” he said.
