Bengaluru: After a video that was purported to be a sex tape of a BJP leader went viral recently, the senior party leader has come out in his defence saying that the man seen in the video is not him. A complaint was filed in this regard on Friday, July 19.
Taking to Facebook, Karnataka BJP MLA Arvind Limbavali said that the man in the video was doctored to look like him and that the video is part of a conspiracy instigated against him by the coalition government.
The MLA’s personal assistant, Girish Bharadwaj approached the HAL police on Friday to file a complaint in this regard. They accused Limbavali’s political rivals of impersonating him in a video and circulating the same.
A case has been registered under various sections of the Information Technology Act.
In the complaint, Girish stated that the video is highly objectionable and that it had been uploaded on social media from the account of a person named S.R. Srinivas Gubbi.
It is learnt that the police are currently on the hunt for the accused.
