Doctor couple test COVID-19 positive, quarantine for all patients, contacts

Ramanagara: A doctor couple from Kanakapura in the district have tested positive for COVID-19. Following this, the local authorities have asked all the patients, who had visited their clinic, to undergo quarantine.

An 85-year-old man died on Monday due to COVID-19. Before his death, he was treated at the Navodaya Medical Centre at MG Road in Kanakapura. His throat swabs were sent for testing and the results came back positive for COVID-19.

Now, the doctor who treated the old man and his Gynecologist wife have also contracted the disease.

The Kanakapura Town administration has issued a circular asking all their patients who visited the clinic since June 6, to quarantine themselves.
