Bengaluru: Even though party high command appointed him as the KPCC president in March itself, DK Shivakumar has not been able to take the charge officially till now.
After fixing May 31 as the swearing-in day, it was later rescheduled to June 7. Now, as per sources, the date has been postponed further.
Blaming the BJP state government for denying him permission to take charge on June 7, DK Shivakumar informed that revised date will be announced soon.
“I wanted to take charge on June 7, but the police commissioner has denied permission. There is politics behind extending lockdown till June 8. It was extended to stop me from taking charge,” he alleged.
“It will be live telecasted through ZOOM app. The event will start with Vande Mataram. Only 150 leaders will participate,” he said.
