Mangaluru: Youth Congress President Mithun Rai tested positive for Corona on Friday, July 17. He informed about the same on his Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Rai, who is currently in Bengaluru, added that he is under quarantine and requested all those who were in close contact with him over the past few days, to get themselves tested for the disease.
Taking to Facebook, the youth wing leader said: “I have been tested COVID19 positive & I am under Quarantine. With all your love and blessings, I will recover and be back soon at your service. My request to all those who were in close proximity with me in the last few days, kindly get yourselves checked for COVID.”
Rai is one of several politicians from the state to test positive for the novel coronavirus infectious disease. Some other politicians include Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Shetty and MP Sumalatha Ambareesh.
