District in-charge ministers appointed; UTK for Dakshina Kannada

Bengaluru: Nearly three months after coming into power, the state government has finally officially appointed in-charge ministers for all districts on Tuesday, July 31.

Though the draft list had been ready some time back, the same had not been officially announced by the state government. The coalition government had thus come under criticism from the opposition BJP for the hold-up in the appointments which in turn was affecting the daily administrative affairs.

UT Khader and Jayamala have been appointed as district in-charge minister of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi respectively. The other appointees are as follows:

Home Minister G Parameshwara, Bengaluru Urban and Tumakuru district;
Revenue Minister R V Deshpande, Uttara Kannada and Dharwad districts;
Water Resources Minister D K Shivakumar, Ramanagar and Ballari districts;
Industries Minister K J George, Chikkamagaluru district;
Minister for Municipal Administration Ramesh Jarkiholi, Belagavi district;
Health Minister Shivanand Patil, Bagalkot district;
Social Welfare Minister Priyank Kharge, Kalaburagi district;
Minister for Mines and Muzrai Rajshekar Patil, Yadgir district;
Labour Minister Venkataramanappa, Chitradurga district;
Agriculture Minister H N Shivashankar Reddy, Chikkaballapur district;
RDPR Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, Bengaluru Rural and Kolar districts;
Backward Classes Welfare Minister C Puttaranga Shetty, Chamarajnagar district;
Food and Civil Supplies Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan, Haveri district;
Forest Minister R Shankar, Koppal district;
Primary and Secondary Education Minister N Mahesh, Gadag district;
Animal Husbandry Minister Venkatrao Nadagouda, Raichur district;
Small Scale Industries Minister S R Srinivas, Davanagere district;
Minor Irrigation Minister C S Puttaraju, Mandya district;
Tourism Minister S R Mahesh, Kodagu district;
Co-operation Minister Bandeppa Kashampur, Bidar district;
Public Works Minister H D Revanna, Hassan district;
Transport Minister D C Thammanna, Shivamogga district;
Horticulture Minister M C Managolli, Vijayapura and
Higher Education Minister G T Deve Gowda, Mysuru district.
