Bengaluru: Every incident has a cascading effect and naturally the ongoing tiff between ‘Dana Kayonu’ film director Yogaraj Bhat and producer Kanakapura Shrinivas has left Dhruv Sarja fans irked.
If one is wondering over the connection between the three then the issue is that Sarja has acted in “Bharjari”, the latest production of Shrinivas, in which he is romancing Rachitha Ram.
Bhat and Shrinivas are in a legal tussel over a cheque bounce issue, owing to which the latter is delaying the release of “Bharjari”. Irked by the same, Sarja fans resorted to venting their anger on Bhat and as a result as many as 40 of Sarja fans protested outside Bhat’s office at Kattariguppe in the city on Sunday. Police who arrived at the spot detained few fans and ensured that there was no commotion.
It is said that Shrinivas had promised a particular amount to Bhat for directing ‘Dana Kayonu’, but since the film met failure at the box office Shrinivas bargained over the promised amount. When Bhat drastically reduced the amount and Shrinivas paid him an installment, the cheque had bounced, following which Bhat pulled Shrinivas up for a legal battle.
