Bengaluru: Nearly 11 months after the shutdown following the Covid-19 outbreak, all degree colleges will reopen after January 14.
A decision in this regard was announced by Deputy Chief Minister, C. N. Ashwath Narayan, who is also the Minister of Higher Education.
It can also recalled that final semester UG and PG classes started from December 17, and SSLC and II PUC classes restarted from January 1 in the state.
“All the Vice-Chancellors of the state who participated in the meeting suggested the government to re-start the classes at the earliest. So we will restart the classes after Sankranthi festival,” he said.
He also added that the government will soon announce a new academic calendar to ensure that all activities will back on track.
