Defeat should not become habit, says Cong MLA NA Harris after party’s Delhi debacle

Bengaluru: Many Congress leaders have spoken about the need for the grand old party to revive and re-invent itself.

Latest to speak on these lines is Karnataka Congress MLA NA Harris, who represents Shanthinagar assembly segment in Bengaluru.

In a series of tweets, Harris has said that defeat should become a lesson, not a habit!

“As a born Congressman, it hurts to see our party losing ground, particularly in Delhi, where we have our headquarters. Not winning a single seat and losing Delhi begs me to raise some questions. Office bearers are appointed to steer the party to victory. Our leader Shri Rahul Gandhiji set an example by taking responsibility and stepping down. But are other leaders at the AICC and PCCs folowing suit,” he questioned in his tweet calling for revamp and adding that the INC needs young, fresh and dynamic leaders who are pro-active rathan than being reactive.

“Youth across the country are raising flags of discontent and we need to channelise thins into a strong force with leaders who can think out of the box and lead the party ahead,” he said.

He further said that losing election is surely a learning curve, but if the same becomes a habit and the party leaders acccept it, then INC and its future is in peril!
