Bengaluru: Amidst the confusion and contradictory statements from coalition party leaders in the BBMP and state government, DCM Dr G Parameshwara held a breakfast meeting with all the BBMP corporators, MLAs, MLCs and the mayor of the city. All the party corporators, city MLAs and MLCs participated in the meeting.
If sources in the Congress are to be believed, Dr GP gave them a pep talk for over 30 minutes before the start of the meeting. “He indicated that, in the BBMP election, the Congress will go solo and there is no question of a pre-poll alliance with the JDS,” explained a corporator who wished to remain anonymous.
“He also directed the BBMP mayor to execute all the developmental projects on time and hit out at the corporators for creating confusion surrounding the BBMP budget, which was rejected by the state government. A few corporators took on the JDS for playing a key role in the rejection of the budget. They also alleged that the state government is showing step-motherly treatment towards the wards represented by the Congress,” he explained.
A few corporators also pointed out the delay in the construction of the four proposed super-speciality hospitals in the four zones of the city. “The DCM listened to all the corporators carefully and ensured that he would speak to the CM in this regard,” he said.
