Bengaluru: In a big embarrassment to the state government, DCM CN Ashwath Narayan made corruption allegations against City Commissioner of Police Bhaskar Rao.
The reaction came in after the top cop relaxed the lockdown terms for a few super markets and food door delivery companies.
He made this allegation in a high level meeting chaired by CM BS Yediyurappa in the Vidhana Soudha on Thursday evening.
Upset by the allegation, Rao informed the meeting that he is ready to quit the post and as per sources, the top cop even leeft the meeting.
DCM Ashwath Narayan, while levelling the allegations, even said that he has proof to back his claims.
It is said that Rao was found fighting back tears as he informed that he was ready to step down.
“I am just following the government direction. Only emergency services are allowed. Passes are issued as per government direction by DCPs,” he said.
CM BS Yediyurappa came to his support and asked DCM not to make any false allegations against CoP.
