Bengaluru: HSM Prakash, Retired Deputy Director-General of Geological Survey of India (GSI) has stated that it is not airforce fighter jet but the Cyclone Amphan that caused a loud mysterious noise in the city, on May 20 afternoon.
“Such a sound was heard at Pandavapura, Nelamangala, Magadi etc on next day also. It was a nine seconds phenomena,” he said.
“Temperature was high in Bengaluru on May 20 morning. Due to this, this sound was caused. Cyclone Amphan is causing variation in the weather,” he stated.
It can be recalled that on May 20, around 1.20 pm, a lound sound was heard and panic-stricken Bengalureans were unable to find the reason behind the same. Later, it was said that it was the sound from airforce fighter jet.
The weather department ruled out the possibility of an earth quake. Later Defense Ministry claimed that it is due to the fighter jets.
