Bengaluru: Out of 2,145 tests carried out in the Vidhana Soudha over the last two days, 110 persons tested positive.
This includes journalists, officials and people’s representatives. Deputy Chief Minister Govind M Karjol also has been tested positive for Covid 19.
According to the speaker Vishweshara Hegade Kageri, positivity rate is 5.2%
To ensure the safety of all those who participate in the ongoing session of the state assembly, Covid 19 testing has been made compulsory in the Vidhana Soudha.
According to the authorities even though 110 persons tested positive, many more may be asymptomatic.
“As many are asymptomatic, every one is coming to know about their Covid 19 status only at the time of Covid 19 testing,” explains officials.
