Bengaluru: As part of efforts to avoid the spreading Covid-19, a ministerial task force set up to deal with the virus in Karnataka has proposed making institutional quarantine mandatory for those testing positive in rural areas and urban slums.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the task force on Saturday, which was chaired by deputy chief minister C N Ashwathnarayan. “Covid Care Centers will be built at the primary healthcare centre level in rural areas. In places like hostels, arrangements for isolation and care must be made. This responsibility will be assigned to the district commissioners,” said Ashwathnarayan.
