Bengaluru: Based on strict instructions from the state health ministry, the airport officials informed the authorities of a woman who had flown from Italy, on Thursday, March 12, as she showed symptoms of the deadly virus.
According to the officials, when the woman was subjected to a thermal screening, the thermal imagery showed that she had a fever. The health official immediately took her to the Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital and got her admitted.
Currently, the doctors have confirmed that her health condition is normal and that her blood samples have been sent to the laboratory for testing. They have said that further details can be obtained only after the report arrives.
Meanwhile, it is not yet confirmed if the woman is an Italian national or an Indian.
