Bengaluru: Minister for Health B Sriramulu has predicted that the COVID-19 cases may double in the next 15 to 30 days and that the next two months will be very challenging for the government to contain the spread of the pandemic.
“The number of coronavirus cases may double in the next 15 to 30 days in Karnataka. The next two months set to pose a big challenge before us,” the health minister said in a tweet, while urging the people to remain clam and follow the COVID-19 guidelines to stay safe.
Lockdown has been announced in Bengaluru from Tuesday 8pm for the next seven days after the Bengaluru Urban alone started witnessing thousands of new COVID positive cases.
The state, on Sunday witnessed 2627 cases on Sunday taking the total tally to 38,843.
