Couples cozying up at Cubbon Park this Valentine’s Day, beware!

Bengaluru: The Horticulture Department has sought police help to keep a stern eye on couples heading to Cubbon Park and Lalbagh this Valentine’s Day.

In order to avoid untoward incidents, unacceptable public display of affection and moral policing on February 14, the Horticulture Department has sought police help. Hence couples cozying up at their favourite spot, those looking to romance under the tree, behind the bush will face action from the officials and cops.

An official from Cubbon Park said, “We have received complaints from the public regarding unacceptable public display of affection. Hence we have asked the local police for more security on Valentine’s Day. We have written to the police commissioner in this regard to avoid any moral policing.”

“The main gate of Lalbagh near Shantinagar will be closed on February 14. At present, there are 130 security personnel at Cubbon and Lalbagh parks. There are over 10 CCTV cameras to keep an eye,” he added.
