Bengaluru: A local corporator’s husband and a close aide of former CM Siddaramaiah has invited trouble by dropping a dead rat into Sambar at Indira canteen at Gayathri Nagar.
Following the incident, manager of the canteen, on Thursday lodged a complaint against the Girish Lakkanna, who is the husband of Gayathri Nagar Corporator.
It is said that Lakkanna had been demanding ‘hafta’ from the canteen and when the canteen manager denied, he dropped a corpse of a rat into the sambar vessel only to tarnish the image of the canteen.
The manager approached the police with the CCTV footage as an evidence and the episode has now caused embarrassment to the Congress party, under which the ambitious Indira Canteen was started.
