Bengaluru: Senior Congress leader, MLC R Dharmasena has urged the Congress party national leadership to consider the proposal of launching a dedicated Hindu cell.
Speaking at an event organised to mark the Quit India movement in Mysuru city, he urged the District Congress Committee (DCC) to send a resolution in this regard to the All India Congress Committee.
“About 12 years ago, this was discussed by the Dakshina Kannada district committee. The Congress has contributed a lot to the Ayodhya Ram temple. The party worked hard for the cause of poor, women, minorities and the people from disadvantaged section of society. However, today all are moving away from the party,” he said.
