Bengaluru: The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting scheduled on Monday was cancelled at the last minutes as none of the central leaders showed interest to attend. With this, the selection of the opposition leader for the Assembly has been further delayed.
As per the announcement, party high command appointed Ghulam Nabi Azad as the party observer for the meeting. He didn’t turn up for the meeting. Congress MLAs arrived from across the state to attend the meeting but were left disappointed.
According to the sources, Azad is not keen on the party’s Karnataka affairs. So he refrained from travelling to Bengaluru from New Delhi.
