Bengaluru: Amid war of words between Siddaramaiah and D. K. Shivakumar on who is the next Chief Minister in Congress if the party returns to power in Karnataka, Dalit leaders held a meeting at former Union Minister K. H. Muniyappa’s house in the city on Saturday night.
In the meeting former DCM Dr G. Parameshwar and others participated. Senior Congress leader B. K. Hariprasad was also present.
According to the sources, the Congress leaders from Dalit communities have decided to pressurise the high command to make a Dalit as the CM as the community is strongly supporting the party for the decades.
The leaders also decided to keep aside the differences of opinion among various sub sects of the Dalit communities.
