Bengaluru: As the CD clippings of the minister for water resources, Ramesh Jarakiholi rocked the state BJP unit, state Congress unit’s hope of returning to power in 2023 election has been further boosted. As the news channels started beaming the clipping, party leaders held a three-hour-long meeting to discuss the party strategy.
Interestingly, for the first time in recent years, KPCC president DK Shivakumar rushed to former CM Siddaramaiah’s house to discuss the political strategy.
The Meeting was attended by several senior leaders also.
It can be recalled that Ramesh Jarakiholi had quit Congress targeting DK Shivakumar. Both of them are nurturing a political enmity.
The Congress leaders decided to take this CD row to a logical conclusion. They decided to use the state budget session to pressurise the CM BS Yediyurappa to sack Ramesh.
Ramesh is considered as the architect of the BJP government in the state. It is not easy for the party to take any decision at this stage.
Meanwhile, allegations surfaced that a BJP minister sent this CD to the party national leaders to ensure the exit of the Ramesh Jarakiholi from the cabinet.
