Bengaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dr.G Parameshwara made it clear that there will not be any understanding between the Congress and the JDS in Jayanagara and Rajarajeshwari Nagar elections in spite of coalition government in the state.

Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, he said that the Congress has finalized the names of candidates for RR Nagar. The question of coalition won’t raise as candidates of both parties are in the field.

Meanwhile, delegated CM and JDS State President H D Kumaraswamy said that nothing has been finalized about the coalition in both the constituencies.

It is said that there would be a friendly fight between the candidates of these two parties in both the constituencies. Meanwhile, for the Jayanagara constituency, which was vacated by the death of present MLA and BJP candidate B N Vijayakumar, the BJP is seriously thinking of fielding his brother Prahlad Babu. The names of former mayor S K Nataraj, Tejaswi Soorya, and Union Minister Ananth Kumar’s wife Tejaswini Ananth Kumar are in the list.

BJP senior leaders have assigned the responsibility of RR Nagar election to Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda and Ananth Kumar will be the in-charge of Jayanagara constituency polls.
