Bengaluru: As the rebel Congress MLA Ramalinga Reddy has turned stubborn and has stood firmly by his decision of resigning as a legislator from the Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition, ‘troubleshooter’ of coalition D K Shivakumar and other leaders are constantly trying to convince him to continue as a legislator in the coalition.
One such attempts was yet again made, here on Sunday, July 14, where Congress leaders like H K Patil, Mallikarjun Kharge, Member of Parliament D K Suresh, Home Minister M B Patil, KPCC Secretary Eshwara Khandre, and several others reached Ramalinga Reddy’s residence.
It can be recalled that earlier, Ramalinga Reddy had been upset over the way the senior leaders like him were treated in the Congress party as well as the Congress-JDS coalition. Later, he had tendered his resignation to Speaker Ramesh Kumar and till date has stood by his decision.
However, he had yesterday said that he would take a call on July 15.
