Bengaluru: Newly appointed All India Congress Committee (AICC) Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala is on his maiden visit to Karnataka after he was given the new responsibility.
He is reviewing the party organisational works and prevailing political situation in the state.
Surjewala arrived at Bengaluru on Tuesday evening and was received by KPCC president DK Shivakumar and other leaders.
He directly reached the party office on Queen’s road and held informal discussion.
According to the sources, Randeep Singh Surjewala asked the party leaders to intensify the people’s movement against state and central governments.
He asked the leaders to use the anti-farmer decisions and corruption in Covid-19 management to corner the state government.
Randeep Singh Surjewala will hold a meeting with party frontal organisation leaders today and is expected to give them tasks.
