Bengaluru: Actor Prakash Raj, who has announced that he will be contesting the upcoming parliamentary polls, has now said that the Congress party can back him in Bengaluru Central constituency, from where he will be contesting as an independent candidate. Raj officially announced his candidature in Bangalore Central in a press conference here on Friday.
He expressed his view about the Congress while answering a query if he contesting from Bengaluru Central would eat away the Congress votes as the constituency is dominated by the minority.
“I have come back home and now I would want to contest from the place where I was born and brought up. This is where I took the plunge into the theatre and then to movies,” he said adding that it was time for him to give back to people.
“My manifesto will be drafted only after asking people what they want,” he said and added that he was against any party and person who is communal.
Prakash termed, “operation Kamala” as “dombarata” (political acrobat or street circus).
