Bengaluru: The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) announced the Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET) results on Monday, May 27. The I and II ranks are secured by students from Uttar Pradesh.
Amit Kumar from Ghaziabad has secured the I place, scoring 169 out of 180 marks in the examination. Akshay Kumar Chaurasia from Sonbhadra of UP secured the second place.
COMEDK UGET was held on Sunday, May 12. The test was conducted online in 248 test centers located in 133 cities across the Country.
According to the COMEDK authorities, among the 69,233 candidates who applied for Engineering UG seats, around 58,085 (17,012 from Karnataka and 41,073 non-Karnataka) candidates attended the test.
As many as 1,144 of the top 5,000 rank holders have secured more than 70% marks in the entrance test. The remaining 3,856 have secured 58.33% and above but below 70%.
“Out of top 100 rank holders 37 candidates are from Karnataka, and among the top 1,000 rank holders 255 are from Karnataka and the remaining 745 from other states of the country,” informed authorities.
