Bengaluru: In a major shock to the Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) state coalition government, it is being reported that over 15 MLAs from the Congress party are expected to submit their resignation to Karnataka State Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar on Saturday, July 6.

Some of the names on the list are MLAs Ramalinga Reddy, Soumya Reddy, Kampli Ganesh, Muniratna, Mahesh Kumthalli, Shivaram Hebbar, Ramesh Jarkiholi, Somashekhar and several others.

Some reports even say that these numbers might rise

The MLAs who decided to resign, reached Speaker Ramesh Kumar’s office in the Vidhana Soudha, but he had already left for Jayadeva Hospital, to meet one of his relatives, who is undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, the MLAs have said that they will wait until Speaker Ramesh Kumar returns.

With this development, a huge political turmoil has struck the state’s political scene and the coalition government is expected to collapse at any given time.
