Bengaluru: New Vatican ambassador to India His Excellency Most Rev. Giambattista Diquattro on Tuesday called on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Archbishop of Bangalore Most. Rev. Bernad Moras & Dr. Antose Antoney, National Executive Member & Finance committee Chairman – Catholic Council of India accompanied Most Rev. Giambattista Diquattro. The meeting was held at CM’s official residence Cauvery.
During the meeting the Apostolic Nuncio to India, Giambattista Diquattro and Bangalore Archbishop discussed about various activities and programs of the Christian community and churches in Karnataka. The Chief Minister appreciated the contribution of Christian community to the development of the state.
Minister for Bengaluru Development and Town Planning, KJ George and Father Anthony Swamy, the Chancellor of Bangalore Archdiocese were also present.
Aged 62 His Excellency Most Rev. Giambattista Diquattro was appointed as the ambassador of Vatican to India and Nepal in January 2017.
