Bengaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has urged the Congress’ Cabinet ministers to stop their leaders, including Hassan’s A Manju and Chikkaballapura’s Dr Sudhakar from criticising the state government. He made this appeal during the state Cabinet meeting held on Thursday evening.

A Congress minister informed that the CM raised the issue of the Congress leaders’ criticisms against him at the beginning of the meeting. “It was more like an appeal. He informed the Congress ministers that the government is getting a beating in the society due to the constant attacks by the Congress on him and the government. He said that he is open for talks with the disgruntled Congress leaders. The CM looked very pained in the meeting,” he said.

“DCM Dr G Parameshwara intervened and requested the CM to appoint Dr Sudhakar as the chairperson of state pollution control board. But the CM declined,” he added.

He also said that the CM urged the Congress ministers to maintain a distance from contractors. The CM was referring to the recent cash seizure from the typist of social welfare minister Puttaranga Shetty, the minister explained.
