Bengaluru: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has signed the appointment orders of three Congress MLAs to the various boards and corporations. This is analysed as the big victory for former CM Siddaramaiah, who is also the head of the coordination committee and Congress Legislative Party (CLP).
On Wednesday night after a telephonic conversation with ex-CM Siddaramaiah, CM HDK appointed NA Haris (chairman, BMTC), ST Somasekhar (BDA), and Subbareddy KN (KSIC). All the three are considered as close to former CM.
CM HDK was declining for these three appointments stating that departments concerned are headed by the JDS ministers. “But Siddaramaiah was reluctant to change his decision. Finally, he had his way,” informed a Congress leader.
More appointments: If sources in the JDS are to be believed, CM HD Kumaraswamy informed his party leaders that more Congress leaders are expected to be appointed to various boards and corporations. “He directed the party leaders to gear up to work with the Congress MLAs,” said a JDS MLA.
