Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court’s order to launch a probe into the projects undertaken by the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) has been welcomed by Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.
For the past two years, CM BSY had been calling for a probe into the contracts taken up by the BDA as well as the BBMP. He had even urged the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to investigate the BBMP’s projects, which were of poor quality.
Speaking to ANI, Yediyurappa said, “If the poor quality works are identified, the government can withhold payments. My government will never allow for poor quality works. We will closely monitor the quality of the works taken up by the BDA and BBMP in the coming days.”
“The probe must be comprehensive and the ACB should not wait until the deadline to submit its report,” he added.
