Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar will, on Thursday, hold a virtual meeting to discuss the issue of reopening schools during the COVID-19 crisis.
According to information provided by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), a final decision on the reopening of schools will be taken only after the assigned committee submits its report on the issue with their suggestions. The CMO assured that no sudden decisions in this regard will be taken.
Deputy Commissioners and District Collectors of various districts and education experts will be in attendance at the meeting.
During the meeting, is it expected that discussions will also be held on the handling of the coronavirus situation by the various district administrations.
