Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who also heads the state finance department as the finance minister, will present the 2020-21 state budget on March 5.
This will be his fifth budget presentation.
The CM is likely to start pre-budget consultations in the second week of February.
Speaking to the reporters, Yediyurappa stated that his budget will be pro-people and pro-farmers.
“I am a farmer and naturally, I will focus more on the agriculture sector,” he stated.
He also hinted that he might present a separate agriculture budget along with the general budget. “I am considering this proposal,” he said.
