Class 7, 8 and 9 students promoted without examinations: Min Suresh Kumar

Bengaluru: The State Government has decided to promote all the students of Class 7, 8 and 9 without conducting the final examinations.

It may be recalled that the classes were all suspended across the state following the COVID-19 scare and examinations were postponed.

However, in the latest order, the state government has decided to promote all the students of the said three grades without examinations.

Minister for Educcaton Sursh Kumar, in a tweet informed that while the students of Class 7 ad 8 will be promoted without any conditions, the Class 9 students will have to be assessed and the students who are identified as under performers in the Formative Assessment (FA) and Summative Assessment (SA) will have to be given special attention during the holidays.

He also informed that decision on the SSLC and PUC examination will be taken after April 14.

The Minister called upon students to not waste the time available during the lockdown, but instead utilise it in productive manner by learning their syllabus and getting ready for examinations whenever it will decided to be held.
