Bengaluru: A 38-year-old choreographer from Udupi running a dance school in the city, committed suicide by hanging at his dance studio in the Geddalahalli area of the city.
The deceased has been identified as Sandeep, son of K N Achyuth.
Though the incident came to light on Wednesday, April 10, the police suspect that Sandeep committed suicide on Sunday. His body was found by his students, who arrived at the studio for classes.
His father informed that they moved from Udupi to Bengaluru ten years ago, and Sandeep had a pile of debt.
According to the police, Sandeep is married and has a four-year-old son. “On Sunday, he (Sandeep) called his wife saying that it is his final call to her. She didn’t take it seriously as she assumed that he was emotionally blackmailing her as she was staying away due to a family dispute,” said police.
