Chiru Sarja final rites and public homage: 59 FIRs registered against fans

Bengaluru: The Talaghattapura, Banashankari and Kumaraswamy layout police registered as many as 59 FIRs against fans for failing to maintain social distance and follow compulsory mask orders at the time of funeral procession, public homage and the final rites held at Dhruva Sarja’s farmhouse in Ramananagar district here recently.

None of the family members of the Chiru Sarja were named in the FIR.

It can be recalled that Chiru Sarja, 39, a young actor of Sandalwood died on Sunday, June 7 after a cardiac arrest. His final rites were held the next day. 

FIR is registered under the Natural Disaster Act 2005 and Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897.
