Chincholi assembly by-election polling on May 19

Bengaluru: The Election Commission of India has announced the date for the Chincholi assembly constituency by-election. The by-election was necessitated following the resignation of Dr Umesh Jadhav, incumbent MLA from the Congress to contest in the MP election against Congress senior most leader Mallikarjuna Kharge as a BJP candidate.

According to the ECI notification, the polling will be held on May 19 and counting will be held on May 23. April 29 is the last date for the submission of the nomination papers.
