Bengaluru: Challenging Star Darshan has been appointed as the new ambassador for the Agriculture Department.
This department is headed by BC Patil, a well-known actor who is close to Darshan.
As part of the arrangement, Darshan will help the department to reach out to the farmers on its various initiatives, works and schemes. He will be the good will ambassador and agreed to participate in the major events hosted by the department.
Last month BC Patil had met Darshan at his farm house in Mysuru and discussed about the proposal. Darshan had agreed immediately.
With Darshan having a mass following in the rural areas, the department is confident that it can reach out to the people easily.
