Bengaluru: Bengaluru city police have recovered CCTV footages from the residence of slain journalist Gauri Lankesh. It is said that two bike borne miscreants executed the murder plan of Gauri Lankesh.
According to the sources, a person who fired at Gauri had covered his face with a helmet, while his partner, whose face could be seen, waited for him outside the residence of Gauri on bike. Following the leads, city police have started nakabandi on Bengaluru-Tumakuru road assuming they would have fled in that direction.
Eye donation
Meanwhile, family members of Gauri Lankesh have donated both her eyes to Minto hospital as per her wish.
Public homage
According to Indrajith Lankesh, brother of Gauri Lankesh, postmortem of the body will be done at Victoria hospital at around 10 am and later body will be kept in Town hall for public homage.
Protests across the state
Meanwhile in Bengaluru, like-minded organisations have called for a protest at 11 am at town hall. Candle light protests were organised in Kalaburagi, Hubballi, Haveri and other cities on Tuesday night.
