CCB police bust fake marks card scam, one held

Bengaluru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested one person for allegedly selling fake marks cards in Bengaluru.The police have identified the accused as Kunal Kumar Mandal, 28, a resident of Regency Pinnacle Apartment, Manyata Gate No. 5, Bengaluru. The police have seized fake marks cards, a computer and other items from the accused.

The police said the accused used to send e-mails to gullible students from Join Us For Education, situated at Manipal Centre North Block promising admission in reputed educational institutions. The accused used to issue fake marks cards and provisional certificates to the students and earn money.

A case has been registered in Halasuru police station.
