Case registered against three for posing as journalists

Bengaluru: The High Grounds Police of the city have registered a case against three unidentified persons, including two women, for allegedly trying to spread fake news about Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy. They have registered an FIR against the three.

JDS city unit president R Prakash had lodged a complaint in this regard with city police commissioner T Sunil Kumar.

Prakash had alleged that the three were allegedly forcing those who were standing in queue on November 22 for the the CM’s Janata Darshan event, to speak against the state government.

“We alerted the police about this. They fled from the spot in an auto when they were questioned by the police. They must be fake journalists. They were trying to defame the government,’ he alleged.

Commissioner T Sunil Kumar forwarded the complaint to the High Grounds Police, who registered a case against these three unknown persons.
