Mangaluru: As per the demand of consumers, The Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Co-operative Limited (Campco) has launched its third sales depot in Surat, the second largest city of Gujarat, known for its diamonds and textile business, on May 20.
There is a huge demand for the arecanut grown in Karnataka and Kerala, in North India. Now, Campco is providing Chali (white) arecanut of high quality to Gujarat. It already has two sales depots in Gujarat, one in Ahmedabad and another in Rajkot. This is 14th sales depot of Campco in the country overall.
Speaking after inaugurating the sales depot, Campco President S R Sathishchandra said that by the fulfillment of customers and strengthening of marketing one can conserve the interest of farmers.
Campco Managing Director Suresh Bhandary, Marketing Development Representative Pankaj C Kotak, Surat Campco Branch Officer Harish Mulya of Surat and others were present.
