Bengaluru: Two days after the cabinet expansion, the infighting between the Congress leaders has taken an ugly turn. If sources in the Congress are to be believed, former CM Siddaramaiah, who is also heading the JDS-Congress coordination committee is pressurizing DCM Dr G Parameshwar to swap his home and Bengaluru Development portfolios for any smaller departments. Dr G Parameshwar has reportedly declined to accept any other portfolios.
It is said that Siddaramaiah wants any of the newly inducted ministers to lead these two portfolios, which are considered very important.
“Former CM thinks that if Dr Parameshwar is the Deputy CM, he does not need any major portfolio,” said a Congress leader adding that Parameshwar is against any such move.
“AICC Karnataka in-charge KC Venugopal is visiting Bengaluru on Monday night to resolve this new headache,” he added.
