Bengaluru: The Cabinet expansion of the Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa-led BJP government in the state has finally gotten the green signal.

According to party sources, the BJP high command accepted BSY’s request of a Cabinet expansion. The Cabinet is now set for expansion on January 29.

BJP national general secretary B L Santosh, who met BSY on Saturday, January 25, at his ‘Davalagiri’ residence located in the Dollars Colony, Bengaluru, conveyed the high command’s approval.

Reports claim that BSY met several astrologers and asked whether January 29 was auspicious or not. The astrologers told Yediyurappa that it is an auspicious day and that he can go ahead with the Cabinet expansion at 10.45 am on January 29.

It can be recalled that CM BSY, before leaving to Davos, asked Union Home Minister Amit Shah if he could proceed with expanding his Cabinet, to which the latter said that he could do so once he returns.
