Bengaluru: In a big relief to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, the BJP high command has asked the party’s state unit not to launch ‘Operation Kamala’.

Speaking to reporters, BJP state unit president and former CM B S Yeddyurappa informed that party’s national leaders had asked him to wait till the state coalition government falls.

Yeddyurappa, who was in New Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government, returned to Bengaluru on Friday, May 31 evening.

“The party national leaders advised me to not to launch ‘Operation Kamala’. They have come to know that former CM Siddaramaiah is playing a dirty game under the name of the BJP and that is why this decision has been taken,” he said.

With this, the BJP’s ambition of forming a government in the state has been dashed yet again.

Most of the Congress members are also declining to join the BJP, so the CM HDK-led state government is safe.
